Members of the National FFA Organization from throughout California gathered at Cal Poly this weekend for the 77th annual state finals, competing in 19 career-development areas. Cal Poly’s Collegiate FFA hosted more than 2,500 students, teachers and parents. Formerly known as Future Farmers of America, the organization teaches young people about agriculture and leadership. State finals have been held at Cal Poly since 1934. Winning teams from each contest will represent California at national finals in Indianapolis in October.
