San Luis Obispo County continues to have the most expensive gas in California, according to the Auto Club.
As of the survey taken Friday, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the San Luis Obispo-Atascadero-Paso Robles area was $4.34. San Francisco and Santa Barbara came next at $4.32.
The California average was $4.27, while the national average was $3.98.
San Luis Obispo County’s all-time high average was $4.61, set on June 20, 2008.
