A 19-year-old San Luis Obispo woman is suspected of crashing her car into parked vehicles while driving drunk early Thursday morning, according to San Luis Obispo police.
The woman was found at a residence near Galleon Way and Royal Way in San Luis Obispo, where the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m.
She was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries to her left arm.
Police responding to the crash found a car on its side and the driver missing. After investigating, officers concluded that the vehicle had struck two parked cars, pushing one of them forward into a parked travel trailer. That trailer in turn was pushed across the road and struck yet another parked car, police said.
Officers said an investigation showed that the woman was responsible for the accident.
The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for the filing of charges for driving under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor hit-and-run.
The Tribune is not identifying the woman because she faces only misdemeanor charges.
