San Luis Obispo police are looking for a driver who ran away from a collision with a bicyclist early Thursday morning.
A 31-year-old woman was riding her bicycle southbound on Carmel Street just before 2 a.m. when she entered the intersection at Buchon Street, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department. She then collided with a vehicle traveling westbound.
The driver then parked the vehicle approximately 100 feet west of the accident and fled the area on foot, according to police. The vehicle had damage to the hood and right front quarter panel, and had a severely damaged windshield.
During the investigation, the owner of the vehicle arrived at the scene and provided details as to the possible identity of the driver, according to police. No information about who that driver might be was released.

The woman was taken by ambulance to French Hospital for treatment of injuries to her head and upper body. The injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
Police are investigating the collision as a felony hit-and-run. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 781-7317.
