Three opening acts have joined the lineup at this summer’s California Mid-State Fair, officials said today.
They join a packed entertainment lineup that includes pop sensation Selena Gomez, country rocker Kid Rock, pop-rock group Maroon 5 and country acts Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Sugarland.
Burton Cummings, the former lead singer for The Guess Who, will open for the Steve Miller Band on July 20. During his decade-long tenure with the Canadian rock band, Cummings wrote or co-wrote many of the Guess Who’s greatest hits, including “American Woman,” “Laughing” and “These Eyes.”
Country duo Keifer and Shawna Thompson are opening for Jason Aldean on July 26. The husband-and-wife team recently rose to popularity with the hit song “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not.”
Opening for Lady Antebellum on July 28 is singer-songwriter Troy Olsen. He’s currently touring in support of his self-titled debut EP, featuring the singles “Summer Thing” and “Good Hands.”
The California Mid-State Fair runs July 20 through July 31 in Paso Robles.
