Officials with the Heritage Ranch Community Services District said their water deliveries to customers are unaffected by the sewage-line break that occurred at another spot on Nacimiento Lake and which has affected a different water provider.
County public health officials on Tuesday said that a line operated by the Oak Shores Wastewater Treatment Plant had a break, with lake water entering that system.
People taking deliveries from the Nacimiento Water Co. at Oak Shores were advised to boil their water for three minutes, or use bottled water, for all drinking, cooking and bathing until further notice. Also affected were the Lake Nacimiento Resort and the North Shore Boat and Ski Club.
Heritage Ranch CSD said its filtration plant removes 99.9 percent of virusues and pathogens from water pumped out of the lake. Heritage Ranch is also located at the opposite end of the lake from Oak Shores.
