Volunteers helped clean up the Sweet Springs Nature Preserve in Los Osos at a Restoration Day event on Saturday.
From 9 a.m. to noon, they picked weeds and helped spruce up the preserve off of Ramona Avenue in the coastal town.
The Morro Coast Audubon society is making room for more native plants and animals at the preserve.
The group provides tools and tips, as well as snacks for volunteers.
