Moviegoers checked out the new Galaxy Theatres in Atascadero during the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, which kicked off Wednesday.
Now in its 16th year, the festival continues today with another round of film screenings, panel discussions and red-carpet events. Highlights include a “Mamma Mia!” sing-along, the classic Western “My Darling Clementine” and the brand-new Bike Nite, featuring the professional cycling documentary “Chasing Legends.”
The ever-popular Surf Nite takes place Friday, followed by the George Sidney Independent Film Awards on Saturday, during which Oscar nominee Greg Kinnear will receive the festival’s highest honor, the King Vidor Career Achievement Award.
