UPDATE: Reports of a domestic disturbance with subsequent shots fired at home on Weymouth Street in Cambria was apparently a false alarm, according to Sheriff’s Department spokesman Rob Bryn.
“Officers talked with three people in the house, checked the premise, then left the scene,” Bryn said. “No one was arrested.”
A California Highway Patrol helicopter happened to be in the vicinity, so it was summoned to help respond to the call, he added.
Original story: Three people were detained after a purported domestic dispute in Cambria Sunday afternoon, according to dispatches from authorities at the scene.
Just before 4:20 p.m., a neighbor reported that they heard two shots fired along Weymouth Street in the coastal community, according to San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department radio dispatches.
Deputies and other authorities responded, including a helicopter.
After authorities searched the property where the dispute was reported, they found that nobody was hurt.
Authorities have not confirmed the status of the three who were detained, nor any other circumstances of the incident.
