A small earthquake on Sunday morning was centered north of Highway 46 East, west of Templeton, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The agency said the 8:26 a.m. quake's magnitude was 3.0, and was centered 2.3 miles below ground, about 5 miles west of Templeton and 8 miles southwest of Paso Robles.
Based on 36 unverified citizen reports to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was felt only mildly and mostly north of Paso Robles and in parts of Atascadero.
