Dan Howard-Greene, chief of staff for the Cal Poly president’s office the past 16 years, will retire Dec. 31.
In a retirement letter to Interim President Robert Glidden, Howard-Greene expressed appreciation for the “honor and privilege of serving such a fine University and the opportunity to work with outstanding presidential leadership and an extraordinary university community of dedicated faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors and volunteers.”
In an email to Cal Poly staff, Glidden wrote, “Dan is a person of great integrity whose sole interest when confronted with thorny issues has been to do what's best for the University. Dan has worked extraordinarily hard for 16 years to provide consistently thoughtful advice to all of us.”
An internal recruitment will begin immediately for an interim chief of staff.
