County agricultural commissioner Bob Lilley will retire at the end of the year.
Lilley has been with the county’s agricultural and weights and measures department for 33 years. In a resignation letter submitted to the county supervisors Thursday, Lilley said the department he heads is well positioned to continue without him.
“The job certainly provides many challenges, but has consistently been interesting and rewarding,” he wrote in his letter.
His retirement will become effective Christmas Day.
