Louis Fiscalini, 89, a member of one of Cambria’s founding families, died of cancer at home on Monday.
The Cambria native son and lifelong rancher was a member of local, state and national Cattlemen’s Associations, and was San Luis Obispo Cattleman of the Year in 1996. He also belonged to the county Farm Bureau, Native Sons of the Golden West and the Caballeros.
Fiscalini Ranch Preserve in Cambria is named in honor of his family, which owned the property from 1885 to 1979 and raised cattle on the property for 110 years.
Louis Fiscalini is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Fiscalini; children Gloria, David and Patricia; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday and mass at 10 a.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church, 1174 Main St., Cambria.
