A community meeting to discuss crime prevention in San Miguel is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mission San Miguel Parish Center.
The center is behind the mission, where San Luis Obispo and Monterey roads meet, in San Miguel.
San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Frank Mecham, CHP officers and Sheriff’s Department officials will address concerns about recent car break-ins, thefts and other incidents in the San Miguel area, according to an announcement by the San Miguel Resource Connection. They'll also share information about vehicle burglary prevention, the sheriff’s citizen’s academy program, volunteer opportunities and neighborhood watch programs.
Those with questions can call Mecham’s office at 781-4491.
