Iconic rock band Aerosmith is returning to the California Mid-State Fair this summer, along with legendary rocker Sammy Hagar and Tejano superstars Intocable, fair officials announced Friday.
“We’re all pretty pumped,” marketing director Tom Keffury said. “It’s going to be another summer of fabulous concerts at the fair.”
The newly announced acts join an entertainment roster that includes country stars Toby Keith and Keith Urban, pop star Justin Bieber, singer-songwriter Kenny Loggins and classic rock bands America and Blue Oyster Cult.
“We continue to try and put forth a lineup that features something for everyone: rock, new rock, pop, country, Hispanic, jazz,” Keffury explained.
Considered one of the fair’s biggest acts to date, Aerosmith performed at the Paso Robles Event Center in 2007. Tickets for that concert were gone in a matter of hours, making Aerosmith the first fair act to sell out in a single day.
Now on its “Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock Tour,” the Grammy Award-winning band will perform July 26 in the Main Grandstand Arena. Hits include “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion” and “I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing.”
Sammy Hagar, best known for his hard-rocking hit “I Can’t Drive 55,” performs July 24 at the Paso Robles fair. And Intocable, a Grammy-winning group from Zapata, Texas, plays July 25.
Tickets for the Aerosmith concert, which will cost $55 to $115, will go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 11.
Sammy Hagar tickets cost $30 to $75, while Intocable tickets range from $30 to $50. Both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 18.
The fair runs July 21 through Aug. 1 at the Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Drive in Paso Robles. For information, call 238-3565 or visit www.midstatefair.com.
