A local veterans organization is hosting a special remembrance event of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks next week in Paso Robles that’s open to the public and free of charge.
The Mighty Oaks Warrior Program, a faith-based organization for veterans and their families struggling with post-military issues, has organized the remembrance event during its regular graduation celebration for participants in the program.
The event is planned for 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and has been moved from the organization’s San Miguel campus to a larger venue inside Adelaide Hall at the Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Ave.
The 9/11 Remembrance portion of the program “will be woven into the whole evening including the main message and also a video of our staff and graduates sharing how 9/11 shaped their lives. It will be a powerful night, outreach manager Eric Wright said.
