Sept. 9: “Coffee with the CHP” at 8:30 a.m. at Nature’s Touch, 25 N. Main St. in Templeton. These regular meetings are a chance to get personally acquainted with the officers and discuss your concerns and theirs in an informal setting. Information: Templeton CHP office at 434-4290.
Community potluck at 6 p.m. at the San Miguel Senior Center, 601 12th St. East. Sept. 11 and 25: Bingo at the San Miguel Senior Center at 6 p.m.
Sept. 13: Symphony of the Vines concert at Mission San Miguel; more details to come on this event next week.

Sept. 15: Lillian Larsen School Friends of the Garden will meet at the school at 1601 L St. in Room 33 at 3:30 p.m. The extensive school garden is tended by ag teacher Christina Wilkinson, her students and the Friends. Information: Laverne Buckman at 467-3467.
Sept. 16: Initial meeting to begin planning the 2015 Christmas Parade, at 10 a.m. at the Coffee Station on Mission Street. Information: Mike Sanders at 712-9120.
Sept. 21: Park planning meeting to review revised plans for K Street Park, at the Mission Parish Hall behind the mission at 6:30 p.m. Information: Elizabeth Kavenaugh at 781-4089 or 800-834-4636, ext. 4089.
Sept. 22: San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors’ agenda includes an item on vacating one block of K Street, at 12th and 13th streets, to expand the park. Information can be found at http://www.slocounty.ca.gov.
Sept. 23: San Miguel Advisory Council meets at 7 p.m. at the Community Building in the park.
Sept. 24: Community Services District board meets at the district office at 1150 Mission St. at 7 p.m. Information: 467-3300.
