The City of Paso Robles has received 47 applications for successors to City Manager Jim App, who is set to retire at the end of the year.
On Tuesday, the Paso Robles City Council established an applicant selection process to include citizens and other cities’ leaders to serve as advisory interview panelists. A preliminary interview date for the city manager applicants is set for Sept. 24. After that session, the City Council is slated to identify its top candidates for further evaluation, according to the city.
App announced in February his plans to retire after 18 years as city manager. He previously worked as assistant city manager and personnel analyst. App said he made his retirement announcement early to give the city time to replace him.
