An educational forum will be held Aug. 5 on the ongoing drought and how it has affected home building in San Luis Obispo County.
The forum, hosted by the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast, will feature nine speakers: Gary B. Bardini, deputy director for Integrated Water Management with the California Department of Water Resources; county Supervisor Frank Mecham; Wade Horton, director of the county’s Public Works Department; Carrie Mattingly, director of San Luis Obispo’s Utilities Department; David Cogdill, president of the California Building Industry Association; Mike Nimon, president of Mangano Homes; Bob Hitchner, chief marketing officer for Nexus eWater; Eric N. Robinson, natural resources attorney with Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard; and John Lindsey, meteorologist with Pacific Gas & Electric Co.
Jeff Eckles, executive director of the Home Builders Association, will moderate the forum, which is free and open to the public.
