The San Miguel Advisory Council will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, July 22, at 7 p.m. at the Community Building in the Park.
In the June election, incumbents Dale Hamblin, Anthony Kalvans and Mike Sanders were re-elected. Also elected were Sharon Brower, Kallie L. Johnson and Victor Kunze. Officers and alternates will be chosen at the July meeting.
Festival Mozaic begins on Thursday in San Luis Obispo. This year the Festival Mozaic Orchestra under the direction of Scott Yoo will present two performances in the North County.

On Saturday at 8 p.m. at Chapel Hill in Shandon, “Baroque in the Vines” will feature “Concerto Grosso in G Major Opus 3 No. 3” by Handel, “Oboe Concerto in A Minor” by Vivaldi, “Concerto for Three Violins in F Major” by Telemann and “Brandenburg Concerto No. 5” by Bach. The grounds will open at 6 p.m. for early patrons to enjoy a picnic and the evening views.
On Friday, July 24, at 8 p.m. at Old Mission San Miguel, the performance will feature Bach’s “Mass in B Minor.”
Prior to the concert a celebratory dinner will be held at 6 p.m. in the Mission Hall (behind the mission). Wine and appetizers in the courtyard will precede an elegant three-course dinner prepared by Chef Jeffrey Scott and paired with wines from Sculptera Winery in Paso Robles.
At 7 p.m. an informative pre-concert lecture by musicologist Alyson McLamore will be held in the church.
