A new trail has opened at the Sweet Springs Nature Preserve in Los Osos. A dedication ceremony was held Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017. Like the rest of the 32-acre preserve, the eastern addition is open from dawn to dusk. It adds a trail, boardwalk and a viewing platform and bird blind.
The ceremony was held at Los Osos Valley Mortuary and Memorial Park, Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017. Ceremony included a speech by retired U.S. Navy Capt. Robert Christenson, music by the SLO County Band and a display of antique firearms by the San Luis Obispo Historical Arms Society.
