KSBY news anchor John Reger is no longer working for the station, having left his role in mid-December.
KSBY General Manager Kathleen Choal said she couldn’t discuss the reason for Reger’s departure, including whether his contract had expired, saying she won’t discuss personnel matters.
“John is a great guy, and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors,” Choal said. “We’re very proud of his work here.”
Reger worked for the station for four years, where he was a familiar face alongside Jeanette Trompeter in the anchor chair.
Trompeter returned to KSBY in 2010 after working her first full-time television position at the station.
Choal said that the station is still deciding on who will fill an ongoing anchor role in place of Reger. In the meantime, Dan Shadwell has been co-anchor with Trompeter in recent weeks.
