San Luis Obispo County will host the 2014 Wine Tourism Conference in November, marking the first time the annual conference will be held on the Central Coast.
Visit San Luis Obispo County and the Travel Paso Robles Alliance will host the annual event in Paso Robles from Nov. 12-14, according to a news release. Approximately 200 wine tourism professionals from around the world are expected to attend per day, according to the release.
The conference will include a pre-conference workshop titled “Creating Engaging Events” on Nov. 12, led by Stacie Jacob, Visit San Luis Obispo County CEO; Rey Ledda, executive director of integrated marketing for Sunset Publishing; Holly Holliday, Create Promotions owner; Luke Udsen, California director of sales and marketing for Castoro Cellars; and Kendall Carson, wine club manager for Halter Ranch Vineyard.
Other events include daily workshops and an optional wine pairing dinner.
Registration for the conference is currently open. Tickets are $350, though additional fees will be applied for optional excursions and the pre-conference workshop. Pre-conference workshop participants do not have to register for the entire conference.
