Locally owned Mac Superstore is the latest tenant to join the Prefumo Creek Commons shopping center now under construction off Los Osos Valley Road in San Luis Obispo.
The new store will be located in a 5,000-square-foot retail space next to Target, according to Mac Superstore owner Shane Williams.
Williams said he hopes the new location will offer increased exposure and allow him to reach a wider customer base.
The store sells and services Macintosh computers and other Apple products.

In business for 12 years, the store is currently in the Pacific Coast Center, on Higuera Street at Madonna Road.
“I can’t think of a better location to open up a store than here, right next to Target,” Williams said.
The 140,000-square-foot Target and the Mac Superstore are set to open simultaneously in summer 2011 in the $32 million, 31-acre center.
As for the three other available retail spaces in Prefumo Commons, Madonna Enterprises spokesman Clint Pearce said an announcement will come soon.
“They are all spoken for but, I can’t announce the names of the other businesses until final negotiations are completed,” he said.
“We’re hoping to have all the stores open for business by next fall,” Pearce added.
