Kravabowl, which offers acai bowls, cold-pressed juices and salads, is opening a new location in Morro Bay in mid-September.
Owners Mark and Jacki Mantel are doing minor renovations on the 900-square-foot building they are leasing at 500 Morro Bay Blvd. in Morro Bay. Mark Mantel declined to disclose their investment. Renovations include painting and adding outdoor patio seating.
The new site is expected to employ around 10 people. The menu at both locations — the current location at 90 San Miguel St. in Avila Beach and the new Morro Bay site — will change.
In addition to signature bowls and juices, Kravabowl will offer fresh-brewed, cold-brewed and pour-over coffees from Honey Co., a San Luis Obispo-based roaster; loose leaf teas and kombucha from WhaleBird, a San Luis Obispo-based kombucha company; and pastries and doughnuts from SLO Donut Co.
The company will also offer a “build your own bowl” option and is introducing a small size option for bowls, which will start at $6.
