Another Paso Robles winery offers wine in cans

Porch Pounder, founded by friends Paul Quinn and James Schreiner in Templeton, is the second Paso Robles winery to offer wine in 12-ounce cans. One is chardonnay-based, and the other is pinot-based. The wines retail for around $5.99 and are available at about 30 shops and restaurants around the county.

Global stocks rose Wednesday after Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced plans for a whopping 28 trillion yen ($254 billion) stimulus package. Investors were awaiting a policy statement by the Federal Reserve, as strong U.S. economic data raised questions over the likely course for interest rates.
