The Great Americana Festival and Parade will take place this weekend in Paso Robles.
The festival, a salute to patriotism and the country’s rural roots, kicks off Friday with a 7:30 p.m. showing of Singin’ in the Rain. A donation of $10 includes movie admission, popcorn and soda. Tickets may be bought at the Paso Robles Main Street office.
A parade at 10 a.m. starts the day Saturday with retired US Army Lt. Col. Chuck Miller marshalling the parade. Festivities continue in City Park with a apple pie eating contest, clowns, a chili cook-off and food.
