The Oceano Community Services District’s Board of Trustees reviewed about 20 applications for the general manager position on Tuesday, according to board President Jim Hill.
The district is searching for a replacement for interim general manager Arnie Dowdy. Dowdy has until the end of August to work for the district or else his retirement compensation could be severely affected.
The job was listed in a publication called Jobs Available, which posts jobs open in the public sector. Hill said that several of the candidates appeared to be qualified applicants for the seat.
