The forum featuring 1st District supervisor candidates Harry Ovitt and Frank Mecham was the third and final forum cosponsored by The Tribune meant to give voters in-depth exposure to candidates for San Luis Obispo county supervisor.
"This is an excellent opportunity for voters to quiz the candidates," said Tribune Publisher Chip Visci. "Voters are lucky to have strong candidates in each district to choose from, and it's our hope that voters will make the effort to come to these forums with smart questions."
Today's forum was at the Paso Robles Inn. The cosponsor was the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, and the moderator was Patricia Wilmore, chairwoman of the chamber's Legislative Committee.
Third District candidates Jerry Lenthall and Adam Hill participated in a forum April 30; 5th District candidates Jim Patterson and Debbie Arnold were featured May 1.
