The Feline Network of the Central Coast holds kitten adoptions from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday at the Petco in the Madonna Shopping Center in San Luis Obispo.
Kittens have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for leukemia and FIV. Adoption fee is $60.

Register for Splash
Early registration for Dog Splash Days from Sept. 5 to 7 at Templeton Community Pool is open. Admission is $15 per dog through Sept. 3 and $20 through and including the day of the event. HEET barn tour
Horse Emergency Evacuation Team’s (HEET) South County Barn Tour will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 6. The tour begins at Blond Mare Farms with a gypsy sword show, then to Standish Barn for a dressage performance and Rocky Mountain Horses presentation, and finally to the Kastama Barn where Olympic medal winner Diane Kastama will give a carriage performance.
