Military dogs on film
“Always Faithful,” a documentary about U.S. Marine Corps dog teams on the front lines of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, will show at 7 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the Park Cinemas as a fundraiser for Sherwood Dog Park of Paso Robles.
Director and cinematographer Harris Done and U.S. Marine and dog handler Mike Dowling will attend and introduce the film at 7 p.m., following a wine reception at 6 p.m.

Dog park social
Vineyard Dog Park of Templeton will be celebrating its four-year anniversary with a coffee social at the dog park from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 9. Coffee and pastries will be served. The event is free. Rain cancels.

Horse adventures
Adventures with Gentle Horses children’s camps will be from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 16 and April 6 at Heaven Can Wait Equine Sanctuary.
Children ages 5 to 12 will learn basic equine manners, body language, safety skills and round pen activities.

Adopt a kitty
The Feline Network holds cat and kitten adoptions from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday at the Petco in the Madonna Plaza Shopping Center in San Luis Obispo. Cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested and vaccinated. The adoption fee is $60 for one or $80 for two. A free vet exam is included.
