Music fans will recognize a few familiar faces at the California Mid-State Fair next year.
On Thursday, fair organizers announced the first acts scheduled to perform next summer at the Paso Robles Event Center: Kid Rock, The Doobie Brothers, Journey and Steve Miller Band. All are frequent visitors to the Central Coast.
Kid Rock will perform July 17 along with his band Twisted Brown Trucker. Best known for the songs “All Summer Long,” “Cowboy” and “Picture,” the country rocker played the Mid-State Fair in 2011.
Classic rock bands Journey and Steve Miller Band perform July 23 are with special guest Tower of Power.

Journey, whose hits include "Any Way You Want It," "Don't Stop Believin' " and "Open Arms, " previously appeared at the fair in 2005, 2009 and 2012.
Meanwhile, the band behind "Abracadrabra, " "The Joker” and "Fly Like an Eagle," performed in Paso Robles in 2006 and 2011. (Steve Miller Band lead guitarist Kenny Lee Lewis lives in San Luis Obispo.)
The Doobie Brothers return to the fair July 25 for the popular “Evening of Music & Wine” event.
The rockers, best known for hit songs “Black Water,” “What a Fool Believes” and “Takin’ It to the Streets,” last performed at the Mid-State Fair in 1998. However, they’ve played other local venues much more recently — appearing at the Avila Beach Golf Resort in May 2012 and Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles in September.
Tickets for Kid Rock’s concert cost $51 to $101, while admission to the Doobie Brothers is $41 to $61. Tickets to Journey and Steve Miller Band are $46 to $126. All shows will go on sale at a yet-to-be-announced date.
