Three Central Coast artists will offer a preview of their women-centric museum show, “All About Eve,” in October.
Monica Wiesblott, Tracey Sylvester Harris and Sheryl Daane Chesnut will present their work at the Johnson Gallery in San Luis Obispo, kicking off with an opening reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 3.
All three artists specialize in different media and styles, but all of the art on showcase will feature “the female figure as their muse,” according to a news release. Wiesblott will present her work in etchings and linocuts; Sylvester Harris, her paintings inspired by mid-century black-and-white photographs; and Daane Chesnut, her paintings combining acrylic and oil paints with other artistic mediums like charcoal and screenprinting.
Sylvester Harris and Daane Chesnut live in San Luis Obispo, while Wiesblott is based out of Ventura.
The “All About Eve” show will be at the Johnson Gallery on weekends from noon to 6 p.m. in October. The gallery will also feature a backroom with paintings for sale, and 33 percent of the proceeds from those sales will be donated to the Women’s Shelter Program of San Luis Obispo County.
