An unidentified man robbed Union Bank in Atascadero on Friday, police said.
The robber walked into the bank at 7199 El Camino Real around 1:45 p.m. and handed a teller a note, according to Atascadero police. He got away with an unknown amount of cash.
No weapon was seen or mentioned, police said.
The man was wearing a fake beard and mustache and was carrying a black binder. He was last seen walking south onto El Camino Real.
Police described him as 26 to 31 years old, 6-foot-1-inch tall and about 180 lbs. He was wearing black or dark blue jeans or pants, a long sleeve white pullover shirt with horizontal stripes and sunglasses.
Police suspect the same man attempted to rob a bank in Carpinteria in Santa Barbara County earlier Friday. The bank manager there confronted the robber and he fled without any money.
