Deputy Sheriff's Association endorses Jim Patterson for supervisor

The San Luis Obispo County Deputy Sheriff’s Association has endorsed incumbent Supervisor Jim Patterson’s re-election bid.

The union, which represents 270 deputy sheriffs and other law enforcement personnel, praised the first-term incumbent’s understanding of public health and safety.

“(Patterson) has demonstrated a strong commitment to our community with energy, integrity and vision that will keep San Luis Obispo County vibrant in the years to come,” association President Dale Strobridge said in a press release this afternoon.

The endorsement marks a departure from that of Sheriff Pat Hedges, who has endorsed Pozo rancher and businesswoman Debbie Arnold’s campaign.

The election is June 3.
