A man who escaped from the California Men's Colony during a work program was sentenced to prison again this week.
Francisco Moreno was sentenced Monday to three years behind bars for escaping from the CMC custody Dec. 11, 2007. He faced up to six years in prison for the crime, according to CMC officials.
Moreno had walked away from a community service work crew in Arroyo Grande near James Way while working with other inmates.
He was arrested by sherriff's deputies on Jan. 28 during a traffic stop in Nipomo and returned to CMC.
He was originally scheduled to be released Feb. 1, 2009 after serving a three-year term for possession of stolen property.
