A motorcyclist suffered a serious leg injury when he was knocked from his bike in a collision with a Saturn on South Higuera Street, according to San Luis Obispo police.
Attempting to turn left into the DMV parking lot at 3190 S. Higuera about 12:45 p.m., the Saturn, driven by Rebecca Peter-Chmielnik, 56, of Santa Maria, collided with the Harley Davidson, knocking 68-year-old Robert Dyer from the bike, according to police.
Dyer was taken to French Hospital for treatment of a serious leg injury.
Peter-Chmielnik was issued a citation for driving on a suspended license and failing to yield to approaching traffic.
