Seven young men and teenagers have been arrest for a gang-related street brawl in Santa Barbara that left a 16-year-old boy stabbed to death and two others wounded last summer.
Police Chief Cam Sanchez says the arrests follow a nine-month investigation into the July 16 melee at Ortega and San Pascual streets.
Nineteen-year-old Carlos Diaz, 21-year-old Robert Joseph Martinez, 19-year-old Emilio Mora and four juveniles ages 16 to 17 were arrested Tuesday in connection with the killing of Lorenzo Valentin Carachure.
The dead teen’s 19-year-old cousin Noe Carachure and a 17-year-old boy survived stab wounds.
Sanchez says the victims and suspects were rival gang members.
