County firefighters have endorsed incumbent Jerry Lenthall in his race for re-election to the County Board of Supervisors in the Third District, citing his “experience and leadership.”
They chose Lenthall “because of his strong belief that public safety, especially emergency response, need to be a top priority of county government, the San Luis Obispo chapter of Cal Fire said in a press release.
“Jerry has demonstrated the ability to work with all groups and to find solutions, and has been a strong supporter of …firefighter issues,” the association wrote.
Lenthall, running for his second four-year term, is opposed by Adam Hill, a Cal Poly lecturer and former president of the Food Bank.
The election is June 3.
The Third district includes Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Avila Beach and parts of San Luis Obispo.
