Eight long-time Atascadero politicians have endorsed businesswoman and cattle rancher Debbie Arnold for Fifth District County Supervisor.
Councilmen Tom O’Malley and Jerry Clay joined former mayors Bob Wilkins, Ray Johnson, Hal Carden, George Highland and Marty Kudlac in endorsing Arnold.
They say Arnold, a Pozo cattle rancher and businesswoman, will protect property rights while respecting environmental concerns. Arnold has also pledged to streamline building fees and other government bureaucracy.
Arnold is running against incumbent Supervisor Jim Patterson, who was first elected to the seat in 2004.
