SLO hotel project at Santa Rosa and Monterey streets is withdrawn

Developers of a proposed mixed-use project at 1101 Monterey St. have pulled the project from consideration

Plans included a 75-foot development with a hotel, affordable housing units, and office and commercial space in two structures

An earlier proposal to build two one-story commercial buildings at the site of an old Shell station is still possible

Cayucos Veterans Hall is declared unsafe, shut down

San Luis Obispo County officials officially closed the Cayucos Veterans Hall indefinitely on Wednesday because of structural safety hazards so severe the building is in danger of a roof or wall collapse, “if a strong wind blows in the wrong direction.”
