Taylor Lindquist is 2014 Miss California Mid-State Fair

Taylor Lindquist, an 18-year-old Cal Poly student, has been named Miss California Mid-State Fair for 2014.

Twelve girls competed in the pageant, which was held Tuesday night at the fairgrounds. The fair opens today and runs today through July 27.

Lauren Rodrigues, 20, and Devin Corea, 17, were named princesses, according to fair officials. Rodrigues, a Paso Robles Rotary Scholarship student, was first runner-up, and Corea, a Paso Robles High School graduate, was second runner-up.

Lindquist's platform was titled "FFA? Get Agucated!" Some of her listed hobbies were showing livestock, making cheese, teaching agriculture, playing the flute and welding.
