Cal Poly senior running back Kristaan Ivory and senior linebacker Nick Dzubnar have been selected to the preseason All-Big Sky Conference football team, the school announced Monday.

Ivory rushed for 1,113 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Dzubnar logged 112 tackles last season.

Northern Arizona junior fullback and San Luis Obispo High product Nick Butier also received preseason all-conference honors.

As expected, preseason Offensive MVP went to Eastern Washington junior quarterback Vernon Adams.

Montana senior defensive end Zack Wagenmann was named Defensive MVP.

Mathias draws walk in Team USA win

Cal Poly infielder Mark Mathias was 0 for 3 with a walk while playing for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team in a 4-0 victory over Chinese Taipei on Monday in the Netherlands.

Mathias went hitless for only the fourth time in 18 games this summer, but Team USA won its seventh shutout.
