Meals on Wheels BBQ

Director, Five Cities Meals on WheelsJuly 10, 2014

Every week of every year since 1975, Five Cities Meals on Wheels has been delivering hot, balanced meals to residents of all ages and income levels in the area who need a hand with preparing their own meals. As an independent, self-supporting nonprofit, we serve about 2,000 meals a month, delivered by our dedicated volunteers.

We’re enclosing an envelope in The Tribune on Saturday, and we hope those who are able will support our program by returning the envelope with any size donation that fits. Thank you for considering this community effort and look for the envelope for Five Cities Meals on Wheels in your Tribune.

As we enter our 40th year of service, we’d like to thank the many local individuals, organizations and businesses who support us with funding and volunteerism. Our lively “Keep the Wheels Rolling!” Barbecue at the Victorian Mansion in Arroyo Grande will repeat this year on Sept. 7, and sponsors and participants are invited. Join us! For information call 773-2053. Thank you.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
