Atascadero High quarterback Tommy Carr has been selected to the USA Football National Development Games, according to a news release.

The event runs July 14 through 19 in College Station, Texas.

Carr was a 6-foot-3 junior quarterback on the Greyhounds’ roster last season, and also served as a standout punter for the PAC 7 champions.

Cal Poly’s Mathias shines for Team USA

Cal Poly junior-to-be infielder Mark Mathias drove in a run with a grounder to third base during the ninth inning to help the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team to a 2-0 victory over Chinese Taipei on Friday in Durham, N.C.
