SLO Blues pound California Expos, 17-2

Tyler Floyd and Cal Poly’s Zack Zehner had three hits apiece, Joel Atkinson had a homer and three RBI and four San Luis Obispo Blues pitchers combined to allow only six hits in a 17-2 Summer Collegiate Baseball victory over the California Expos at SLO Stadium on Thursday. 

In all, the Blues pounded out 18 hits and had 13 RBI. San Luis Obispo had 15 runs before the end of the fifth. Zehner and Floyd both went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI. 

Alec Hansen earned the win, allowing one unearned run on three hits and three walks in five innings, while striking out eight.
