Let business thrive

NipomoJuly 2, 2014

Having lived in beautiful Nipomo for more than 28 years, I have seen many businesses come and go. I was involved in opening and closing a bank here, so I have firsthand experience.

The Nipomo Antique Emporium moved into a vacant spot next to Miner’s in April 2013 and since then has expanded by adding two more stores. This has been great for the economy of Nipomo. So many people driving up and down Higway 101 are stopping and shopping!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the store in Old Town Nipomo has been shuttered. That little store was bringing more business to the older section of Nipomo than businesses down on Tefft have seen in years. You would think that is a good thing.

To the powers that be: Please allow businesses to survive and thrive. Think about what is best for the whole community.
