UPDATE 12 p.m.: North Fourth Street is now open in both directions, according to Grover Beach police.

Original story: Grover Beach police are warning drivers to avoid North Fourth Street at Park View Avenue because of an accident involving a big rig with an overturned trailer.

Police Cmdr. John Peters posted a message on the department’s Twitter account (https://twitter.com/Grover_BeachPD) stating that North Fourth Street is closed from Park View Avenue to Five Cities Drive.

No other vehicles were involved, and there were no injuries reported, he said. First units arrived on scene about 9 a.m. A tow truck was on scene about 9:30 a.m., and the street was closed so that responders could get the truck and trailer out of the roadway.

It was not immediately clear how the accident happened.
