The Philadelphia Phillies announced Tuesday that Cal Poly junior Matt Imhof, the team’s second-round pick, has signed with the ballclub.

The 6-foot-5 left-handed ace of the Mustangs pitching staff will forgo his senior year after reaching an agreement with the Phillies, who drafted him 47th overall. Imhof will receive a signing bonus of $1,187,900 — the exact scale amount for pick No. 47.
