SLO Blues fall to Foresters on road

San Luis Obispo gave up three runs in the bottom of the first inning and could not recover, losing 4-1 to the Santa Barbara Foresters in a summer collegiate baseball game Tuesday in Santa Barbara.

Sheldon Neuse and Austin O’Brien each had two hits for the Blues, but San Luis Obispo mustered just one other hit.

Tei Vanderford took the loss, allowing three hits and three runs — including first-inning home runs to Jaylin Davis and Dillon Dobson — and striking out three.

San Luis Obispo fell to 6-3 in CCL games.

Andrew Lantrip struck out seven in six shutout innings for Santa Barbara.
